Permission for the extension and expansion of their existing facility and all ancillary site development works. The proposed development provides for the construction of a new extension to the existing GE Healthcare building (approximate maximum height of 27 metres) comprising a new filling line, solution preparation and utilities building. The proposed development also includes : i) The demolition of an existing single storey entrance security building, upgrade and reconfiguration of existing site entrance to the north, construction of a new relocated single storey entrance security building, ii) The demolition of existing waste bins structure, gas storage building, and an existing contractors compound, inclusive of workshop, prefabs and other ancillary structures, iii) The establishment of a utilities yard to include a pump house, chemical store, waste storage building, fuel tank, fire water retention tanks, gas storage, liquid nitrogen tank (LN2), mains water tank (MW Tank), rainwater harvesting treatment hut (RWH Tank) rainwater harvesting tank (RWH Tank), pipe racks to the proposed new filling line, solution preparation and utilities building and all ancillary plant and services infrastructure, iv) All other ancillary site development works which includes signage, tree removal and compensatory planting, bicycle shelter, provision of a new gated pedestrian/cycle entrance to the south onto Cork Road (L-3678) and rooftop PV solar panels, site drainage and landscaping works. A Natura Impact Statement (NIS) has been prepared and will be submitted to the planning authority with the application.
