Demolition of existing outbuildings and construction of retirement village incorporating conversion of existing disused presbytery building to nurses living accommodation with all associated modifications, construction of 75 no. bed nursing home with Alzheimers unit, intensive care unit/treatment unit, dining,cooking, living and recreational facilites, construction of day care centre, 1 no. managers dwelling and provision for 15 no. sheltered housing units comprising of 14 no. semi-detached units and 1 no. detached units, construction of 3 no. storage shed and plant rooms, landscaped walkway and garden areas, new entrances and entrance wall with connection to all public utility services and all associated site works
Minor amendments and extensions to the stand alone nursing home building permitted under Pl. Reg. No. 06/12513 consisting of reducing the no. of beds from 75 no. to 63 no. beds by omitting a bedroom block at the south of the building, to extend and modify some of the communal spaces, bedroom, en-suites and other service areas, to construct a by-pass corridor connecting the standard bedroom blocks, to raise the general finished floor level, to raise the ridge height of the two storey admin/office area at the east of the site, to add a canopy structure to the main entrance at the east of the building and a dry-store at the south of the building, to construct a service yard, stand alone ESB sub-station, to extend a stand alone plant store building at the north of the site, to re-align the emergency access road and all associated site works.
